Healthcare for All

Oregon has a impressive statistic, with 96% of Oregonians insured. However, this is not the whole story. I know first-hand what it means to be insured but not covered

My mother passed away at 54, having slipped through the gaps in our healthcare system without the insurance she needed. Her story underscores a painful reality many face due to systemic oversights.

During my first year of graduate school, I was diagnosed with a significant health crisis and realized that my university-provided insurance was woefully inadequate, burdening me with high out-of-pocket costs that hindered my access to medically-necessary treatment.

These experiences propelled me into advocacy, and solidified my resolve to ensure accessible and effective healthcare for all.
